Double Chocolate Brownies

These double chocolate brownies are rich, chewy and, of course, have double the chocolate in them! What’s not to love here? –Nothing, we tell ya!

Double Chocolate Brownies

Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or 1 stick melted/cooled butter)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts, divided (1/2 cup & 1/4 cup)
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

Start by greasing a 9×9 inch baking pan, and preheating the oven to 350°.

Mix together the oil, sugar and vanilla. Then beat in the eggs.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder together.

Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.

Add in the half-cup of walnuts and chocolate chips, and pour the batter into the greased pan.

Top with the remaining quarter-cup of walnuts and bake for 25 minutes.

Let cool and enjoy with a glass of milk, hot cup of coffee or tea, or top with your favorite ice cream.
