Easy Homemade Lemonade
Yield: 1/2 Gallon or 8 – 8 oz glasses
Lemonade is a staple beverage for any summer. Enjoy this easy homemade lemonade that refreshes with every sip!
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
7 cups water (6 cups + additional 1 cup)
3/4 cup sugar
Before you squeeze the lemons, you’ll want to create the simple syrup that will sweeten the lemonade.
Combine one cup of water with 3/4 cup sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir the water and sugar together until you notice the sugar starting to dissolve in the warm water.
Continue stirring until most of the sugar dissolves, then remove from the heat and set aside.
Now, you can begin juicing the lemons until you measure one full cup.
Remove any seeds, and strain the pulp if you choose.
In a large container mix the simple syrup, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, and the remaining six cups of water. Stir until all ingredients are blended.
Pour over ice and garnish with a fresh lemon wedge, mint leaves, or both!
